Thorold Centre 50+ and Thorold's Age Friendly Committee are hosting the Aging Well Longer with Technology for Older Adults and Caregivers at the centre on Oct. 14 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. In front, Jean D'Amelio Swyer, left, and Brenda Bator cuddle with Flo and Coco, a pair of robotic seals as well as Charlie, a robotic Cardinal at the Thorold Centre 50+ Tuesday. The animals can be used in long-term care homes therapeutically with dementia patients. Heritage experts from the ROM, Aga Khan Foundation to speak during Willowbank’s fall lecture series Willowbank School of Restoration Arts is holding a lecture series here on Saturday mornings (14487 Niagara Parkway), and the theme is intersections in heritage conservation, and we have some absolutely fantastic speakers

Lord Mayor Zalepa will be hosting an Emergency Services Open House to engage residents with local emergency services and promote community well-being. Date: Thursday, October 30, 2025 Time: 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. Location: Niagara-on-the-Lake Community Centre Auditorium (14 Anderson Lane) Niagara-on-the-Lake Fire & Emergency Services, Niagara Regional Police Service, and Niagara Emergency Medical Services will each provide a brief presentation highlighting their service priorities and current initiatives specific to Niagara-on-the-Lake. Following the presentation, representatives will participate in a Q&A panel to answer questions from the audience. Each Emergency Service Team, in addition to the Ontario Provincial Police, will host an information table within the Auditorium to share resources and connect with attendees.
